On Friday 6th of July 2007 there will be a horse racing eveing down the rugby club organised by the Reckless RAMS. Please come and support and tell as many people as you can.

What is the Reckless RAMS?

The Reckless RAMS (Redecorating and Maintenance Squad), are a group of like-minded people who have got together to try to make a difference to our club. Our aim is to generate money in order to do some much needed maintenance by holding a range of events. Our first priority is a renovation of the hall, which as you can appreciate will take a lot of effort and money, so any support would be greatly appreciated.

Why?

Whilst socialising in the club you will often hear conversations about the state of the club and how nothing is being done about it. The fact of the matter is, there is no money available to do this maintenance work, and it is time we sort this out. We are keen to gain support and help from anyone who is willing to give up their time. There are several ways in which you can help; give some of your own time in order to help with general maintenance, come along and support our events or come and join the Reckless RAMS and help organise and carry out these events.

So, Where do I Sign up?

Our first event is a horse racing night, organised for Friday, July 6th. Please help by coming along to support us, tell as many people as you can about the event, or come along and help us on the night. If you have any ideas or want to join the Reckless RAMS and help us achieve our aim, then please call Matthew Daniel on 07966660343 or Rhian Davies on 07809865307 or email rhian@waunarlwyddrfc.org.uk

And once more for emphasis…

Our club is a place we should be proud of, a place we all want to spend some time, and in order to achieve this sooner rather than later we need help from everyone. It doesn’t matter what you can contribute – be it selling tickets for events, helping out for an hour, donating supplies…to borrow a phrase from Tesco….Every Little Helps! We all need to pull together to make this work! Come on, we need EWE!!

Before the racing evening we are keen to find sponsors for all 8 races. Sponsorship will be £20.00 for the race and it will then be named after the sponsor on the race card.

There are 7 races left, so if anyone is interested in Sponsoring one please either post on here or get in touch with the contacts mentioned in the above post.

There are now 6 races without sponsors. If anyone knows of a company (Or individual) that would like to sponsor a horse race, please post here so that we can get in touch with them.

There are also 56 horses that require an owner. This is £5.00 per horse and the winning owner will be rewarded after the race.

Please try to support as this is for the good of our club and will benefit every section of the club.

There is one race without a sponsor. If anyone knows of a company that would like to sponsor it, it is £20.00 and thier name will appear on the race card along with thier company logo.

Only 3 weeks to go we need to get rid of these horses to make the night a sucess.
